The Hand Magazine is looking for new submissions to our next issue, coming out in January. We pride ourselves on presenting the very best in contemporary reproduction-based artworks. Our mission is to celebrate the hand of the artist in reproduction-based arts. This can mean that the work itself is printed by hand or that the subject matter is manipulated or created by the artist.

There is never any theme. All subject matter, styles, genres and print-based processes are acceptable. We like variety! Printmakers, photographers, collage artists, book makers, and any mixed media or time-based artworks that incorporate printed media are accepted for consideration. We are looking for innovative, experimental, unique, idiosyncratic, poetic, narrative, challenging and thoughtful work. If that sounds like you, you should submit!

Every submission includes a copy of the magazine whether your work is accepted or not. And remember that the best way to submit is to become a subscriber. Subscribers pay no additional submission fees. We can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
